The darkness quiets me.
I sit in the stillness of nothing
I look up and squint my eyes,
I can see the stars
but they are so far away.
They are dreams that were broken,
broken apart into little specks
that can never be put back together,
nor can they ever be reached.
I feel small in this pitch of blackness
No need to look up any more,
it is unreachable.

That's why we look to the bright shining Son instead of the stars!!! He's reachable. He is the promise giver, the one that promised the stars. Your right in saying its unreachable, we cant possible do it. I heard a preacher just lately say that everything we were created to be and created to do can only be accomplished if we stay in His presence. We need Him to be us, we need Him to reach the stars, to reach the treasure that He has called us to be, and then in turn shine like stars cuz were being who were created to be and doing what were meant to do. :)
ReplyDeleteWhatever is good and perfect comes to us from God above, who created all heaven's lights. Unlike them, he never changes or casts shifting shadows. In his goodness he chose to make us his own children by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation , became his choice possession.
